L’oreal Miss Baby Roll Mascara Review in Black and Bright Teal

Best L’oreal ‘Miss’ yet?

Who doesn’t love a good mascara? I know I do! But it can be difficult to find THE ONE, I’m still on the look out. One that comes close for me is L’oreal Miss Manga mascara. But still not quite right. So when I saw there was a new addition to the family I had to check it out! L’oreal Miss Baby Roll mascara has the cutes packaging of them all and comes in 4 different colors!

My first mascara from the L’oreal ‘Miss series’ was the Miss Manga in black non waterproof, it’s also the only one I have repurchased. Then there were Miss Manga Punky and Miss Hippy, I got those in black non-waterproof aswell. How adventuorus I know 🙂 but I was not impressed.

Miss Baby Roll

If i’m being honest I got it for the packaging, it’s so f****** cute!!! I wonder what came first the name or the color scheme. I mean black in combination with baby pink and teal….amazing. This round I had to get more creative so I bought Miss Baby Roll in black WATERPROOF how bou dat, and Miss Baby Roll in bright teal. The brush on these mascaras is something I have not seen before, it’s rubber and it has spikes positioned all around in a spiral. The wand does not bend like the Miss Manga OG. This one is very stiff. I honestly don’t mind either way.

Application

If you own Miss Manga you will know that it’s quite a wet formula, and the wand has that bendy thing going on ‘for easy application’. I guess that’s nice if you don’t have very thick heavy lashes (I don’t). But Miss Baby Roll rolls in a different way…see what I did there haha. Miss Baby Roll feels quite stiff in the application and you can use the bristles to comb the lashes easily as you are applying the mascara. I find that the formula is not at all as wet as Miss Manga. This one dries quite quickly, but that also means that you need to build it up fast (if that’s the goal) otherwise it can get a bit clumpy.

I get the best results when I apply it and keep brushing through until I’m happy. If I go in for a second coat after it dries I get a more spiky look

Miss Baby Roll Black Waterproof

I picked the waterproof version to help with keeping my lashes curled all day. I have very straight, sad lashes.

Miss Baby Roll Bright Teal

Why would anyone want a bright teal mascara you might ask? Well why not! I first got introduced to colored mascara in elementry school where my english teached used to wear bright royal blue mascara. It looked so awesome and it clearly stuck in my mind as I’ve been getting colored mascaras every so often.

Miss Baby Roll can also double as an eyeliner for a full on teal eye look. Smudge some purple on the lower lashline and BAM. This did stain my eye area a bit. But not to worry my eyelids are now back to normal.

I love how this has full opacity. However you do need to build it up a bit more than the black version just to get all lashes covered.

The comparison

  • Here you can see how sad my mascara free lashes are 🙁
  • Bright teal looks a bit more clumpy due to the building up needed to cover all lashes back, front, sideways
  • And the WINNER is the Miss Baby Roll black waterproof! It kept my lashes curled the whole day, and with one coat you get a very ‘natural’ look, but if you’re into the more spiky lashes you could certanly get there by applying two coats or more!

Do you need it?

I would recomend the black waterproof Miss Baby Roll. It is possible that I will repurchase this one, but I have another mascara  that I love even more (come back to find out more about that amazing mascara).

Only say get the color version (find all the colors here) if you know you’re going to wear it alot. I would look awesome for festival make up looks, or just as a touch of color on the bottom lashes.
